Somatic Sex Coaching for Sex Workers
Hey, I’m Michaela.
I provide 1:1 Somatic Sex Coaching for sex workers across New Zealand and abroad. Whether you are considering entering the industry, actively working, or a seasoned veteran, this space is tailored to support your wellbeing, boundaries, and personal sovereignty.
What is a Somatic Sex Coach? A Somatic Sex Coach is a practitioner who educates and guides individuals or couples to improve their intimacy, communication and sexual wellbeing through goal-oriented and practical strategies.
As a certified somatic sex coach, I help people identify their goals to do with sex, intimacy and eroticism and help them to achieve these goals through psycho education and body-based practices. Together, we will work on dismantling limiting beliefs and moving through intimacy blocks, creating safety, and separating your home and work sex life + more. Whatever you’re aiming for or moving through, your experience is worthy of support.
Who is this Service for?
This offering is open to anyone curious about, actively working in, or retiring from sex work.
Please note: I offer a safe, confidential, and professional space. There is no nudity, erotic services, or hands-on touch in these coaching sessions.
If you are seeking erotic services, this coaching is not a fit.
What Happens in a Session?
Intention Setting
Together, we will briefly set an intention for the session ahead. Common intentions include establishing boundaries, reclaiming pleasure, processing work dynamics, or building a practice to separate your work and home sex life.
A somatic practice
I offer a guided somatic practice to begin our session. The practice will be tailored to the intention and will include the 5 somatic tools: breath, movement, sound, touch and awareness. Somatic practices allow you to drop out of your head and into your body and supports being in the present moment.
Goal-based Discussion
Together, we will celebrate your wins, confront limiting beliefs, and work through blocks. I offer psycho-sexual education, reflect on patterns or blind spots, and help you create practices so that you can integrate your learning into your daily life.
Habit Check-ins
The habits and routines surrounding your work can either support your nervous system or lead to burnout. We check in on your daily rituals, screen time, scheduling, and boundary habits to identify what is serving you versus what is draining your capacity, replacing harmful patterns with practices that keep you safe and nourished.
Work-Life Separation Practices
We can develop tailored practices to help you step into your work persona and then fully leave it behind when you step back into your personal life
Accountability
We will set goals together, and I’ll help you stay on track and remind you of your progress for the duration of our work together.
Session Recaps
After every session, I send a session recap. This provides a summary of our session, relevant affirmations, extra resources, suggested homework, and more.

Kia ora, I’m Michaela
My journey in the adult industry began on my 19th birthday. Over the years, I navigated multiple facets of the industry, from full-service brothel work and digital platforms like Snapchat to Seeking and going on arrangements with high-profile clients. These varied experiences gave me a deep understanding of client dynamics, power dynamics, discretion, and the emotional labour required across different sectors of sex work.
For me, sex work was a complex space. Stepping into the industry allowed me to exercise agency, establish strict boundaries around using protection, and take control in environments where I was compensated on my own terms. However, it also came with real challenges, from navigating stigma and relationship dynamics to managing high-pressure work settings while studying at university.
When I looked for support during those years, I hit a wall. Traditional practitioners often lacked an understanding of sex work dynamics and treated it as a problem to be solved rather than a nuanced profession with unique needs. Outside of basic directory lines, tailored resources were virtually non-existent, especially in regional areas across New Zealand.
I knew there needed to be a safe, approachable space where clients can speak openly without needing to explain or justify their work to someone unfamiliar with the industry.
Becoming a Certified Somatic Sex Coach through the Institute of Somatic Sexology provided me with body-based, educational tools to understand embodied consent, nervous system regulation, anatomy, personal boundaries, and pleasure. By combining psychoeducation, somatic certification, and lived experience, I created this coaching space to offer accessible, non-judgmental support via Zoom for clients across New Zealand and beyond.
Since then, I’ve begun supporting sex workers to feel grounded in their bodies, navigate industry challenges, and build clear boundaries between work and personal life.
If you are looking for non-judgmental support, practical somatic tools, or a confidential space to talk through your goals, I am here for you.
I look forward to connecting with you.
With love,
Michaela
My Approach
-
You never have to censor your language, explain industry terminology, or worry about judgment. Whether you work in full-service, digital content, or high-profile arrangements, I understand the nuances of client communication, discretion, stigma, and personal boundary management.
-
Standard life coaching often focuses primarily on mindset and productivity. Somatic sex coaching focuses on nervous system awareness, body-based boundaries, and psychosexual health. I help you navigate practical sexual challenges—such as low libido, difficulty reaching orgasm, or physical pain and discomfort—so you can prevent burnout and restore a healthy connection to your body.
-
We focus on your self-determined goals, honouring your autonomy while developing sustainable practices to separate your work role from your personal life.
Professional Disclaimer
Somatic Sex Coaching is an educational, body-awareness, and self-development service. It is not psychotherapy, clinical mental health counselling, medical treatment, or a social work service. If you require clinical mental health support, medical diagnosis for pain, or crisis intervention, appropriate professional referrals can be provided.
