Somatic Sexology

Presence. Pleasure. Consent.

This is a dedicated space to be seen and understood. We focus on the connection between your mind and your body, using presence and consent to explore your sexuality. Somatic sex coaching is a forward-focused modality that works to broaden your range of sexual expression, helping you connect more fully with yourself and others.

What is Somatic Sexology?

A cozy home office setup for online Somatic Sexology sessions, featuring a book on modern sexology and a laptop on a comfortable chaise lounge.

Most of us were never given a dedicated, sex-positive space to talk about sex with curiosity and presence. Without a formal place to learn, we are often left to navigate intimacy through guesswork, performance, or silence. Somatic sexology is that missing space.

It is a non-judgmental environment designed to help you move past the 'talk' and into the 'feel.' This work is experiential. We focus on what is happening in your body in real time rather than just discussing theory. As a practitioner, I bring a fresh and evidence-based perspective to every session. We use five practical skills (breath, awareness, touch, sound, and movement) to help you stay present and access more pleasure.

There is no guesswork here. I use anatomical models and clear exercises to help you understand the mechanics of how your body actually works. We move at a slow, respectful pace. To ensure you always feel safe, we remain fully clothed for the entire process. You are in control of the speed. Together, we make sure your progress feels sustainable and fits into your real life

Areas of focus

  • A lot of men are taught that sex is a performance. This makes it incredibly difficult to stay present or actually enjoy the moment. Whether you are navigating performance anxiety, early ejaculation, or feeling self-conscious about your body, this work is about moving away from guesswork. I help you understand how your body actually works. We move past self-judgment and the constant need to do things perfectly. By learning to be present in the moment, you become a more relaxed, skilled, and self-assured lover. You deserve to feel confident

  • It is common for intimacy to feel like another item on your to-do list. When sex feels like a chore, it’s hard to find your way back to pleasure. If you find yourself overthinking during sex, navigating a lack of desire, or experiencing physical discomfort like vaginismus, this is a space to breathe. We work together to let go of the pressure to perform. By moving out of your head and back into your body, you can discover what actually feels good for you. My goal is simple: I want you to feel safe and at home in your own skin.

  • When you feel stuck in a routine or disconnected from each other, somatic coaching offers a practical way to find a new path forward. We move past traditional talk therapy to focus on actual physical connection and communication. You will learn tools to map your collective desires and interact with presence, turning intimacy into a shared language of connection rather than a source of pressure or guilt. This is about moving from being 'roommates' back into being partners who truly see and enjoy each other

Some Nice Words

Inside a session: What to expect

  • Our sessions are a co-creation. I may suggest specific somatic practices, but I will also check in to see what your body is asking for in the moment. You are the expert on your own sensations.

  • We start every session with a simple embodiment exercise. This is a guided way to help you become present and notice sensations in your body right now

  • We teach you how to use touch, breath, sound, movement and awareness to navigate your own sensations and explore what brings you pleasure. We pause frequently so you can stay present with what you are feeling and build your personal map.

  • To remove the guesswork, I use physical anatomical models and on-screen visual diagrams/worksheets. This helps you understand anatomy and the actual mechanics of desire.

  • I take the notes during our time together so you can stay fully in your body. Within 24 hours, I will email you a summary and recommended "home play" exercises. You choose the duration of these practices (ranging from 1 to 5 minutes) to keep them consistent with your lifestyle.

  • All sessions are strictly non-contact and remain fully clothed. As a somatic coach, I provide verbal guidance and anatomical education; I do not provide erotic touch or bodywork.

When to Seek Other support:

  • Somatic sex coaching is an educational and experiential practice. All of our sessions are conducted online while remaining fully clothed. My role is to guide you through your own self-exploration. I provide the tools and the space, but you remain the sole expert of your own body. If you are looking for bodywork that involves physical touch or sexual contact, this will not be the right fit for you.

  • Your safety is my priority. This work is deep and transformative, but it is not a substitute for crisis intervention or acute mental health support. If you are currently experiencing a psychiatric emergency or are in immediate distress, please reach out to dedicated emergency services. We can begin our work together once you have reached a place of stability. I am here to support your long-term growth, rather than immediate crisis management.

  • Change takes time. Somatic work is about building a sustainable relationship with your nervous system, which rarely happens overnight. If you are looking for a 'magic pill' or a quick technical tip to fix a problem, you might find this process frustrating. We move at a slow pace. We focus on integration and lasting shifts. This is a journey of unlearning old patterns to create space for new ones. Patience is a vital part of the process

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unlike traditional therapy, somatic sexology is future-focused. While we may discuss your past or present experiences, our sessions focus on building practical embodiment skills and physical awareness to align with your future desires rather than clinical diagnosis or talk-only therapy.

While this is not clinical therapy, I work collaboratively with healthcare providers. For practitioners or clients wishing to use a formal intake process, you can find the referral and self-referral pathway here

  • While I welcome both Self-Referrals and Referrals from health practitioners, you are able to book a foundation session directly to begin our work together.

  • Somatic sexology is a complementary modality. While your doctor focuses on your physiological/medical side, in our sessions, we will develop somatic tools to support your experience.

  • Strictly no. This is a fully clothed, professional service. As an online somatic coach, I do not engage in any nudity or physical touch. Our work focuses on guided movement, breath, and awareness from a distance.

  • Yes. This is a non-judgmental, inclusive space. I work with individuals and couples of all genders and orientations, including those in the kink and sex work communities.

  • Somatic sex coaching is currently a private-pay service and is not typically covered by standard health insurance or ACC. However, we focus on high-impact, short-term pathways to ensure the work is a sustainable investment in your wellbeing.

  • This is a 30-minute Zoom call to discuss your goals, ensure that this modality will help you meet them, and explain the next steps for your specific needs.

This Zoom session also has a brief introduction of the 5 Somatic tools and corresponding skills.

If we decide to move forward, this session's fee is credited toward your first full appointment.

  • We start with a 30-minute Foundations Session ($50 NZD). This is a low-pressure way to meet via Zoom, discuss your needs, and ensure my approach is the right fit for you.

After completing the foundation session, you will receive a coupon code for $50 off your first full appointment.

  • Absolutely. It is incredibly common to feel a mix of nerves and curiosity. Discussing intimacy and dropping into your body is a vulnerable act.

Starting with a foundation session creates a low-pressure way to meet over Zoom, ask questions, and get a feel for my approach before committing to deeper work.

Your comfort and consent are the foundation of everything we do.

  • Identification of goals is part of the process, not a prerequisite. Many clients start with a general feeling of curiosity or a desire for change without knowing exactly what that looks like. We use our initial sessions to map out what feels meaningful to you, moving at a pace that feels supportive rather than pressured.

  • Absolutely. Many clients find that being in their own home allows them to feel safer and more relaxed. Because somatic work is about your internal sensation, the virtual setup actually provides a helpful professional structure that keeps the focus on your own body.

  • Somatic work is a process of "unlearning" and "re-learning." While some clients feel a shift after 3 to 6 sessions, others choose to work together longer to deepen their practice. There is no set timeline.

  • These are simple, sustainable practices that I suggest between sessions. They help you integrate the skills we practice on Zoom into your actual daily life.

  • Yes. I take the notes during our time together so you can stay fully in your body. Within 24 hours, I will email you a summary and your recommended "home play" exercises.

  • Life happens. You can reschedule your session through your booking link.

Please note that sessions are rescheduled rather than refunded to respect the dedicated time.

  • My booking system automatically detects your local time zone, so you can easily select a slot that works for your schedule, whether you are in New Zealand, Australia, or further abroad.
