Meet Michaela Tutty

Certified Somatic Sex Coach & Sexologist

My work centres on consent, connection, pleasure, and presence, using somatic tools to help you safely return to your body. By co-creating practical exercises in our sessions, we focus on how you can gently bring these principles into your daily life and relationships

I have always been a very curious person, which at times has gotten me in trouble, but overall, I think it is one of my best qualities. I think it is the quality that drew me into becoming a certified somatic sex coach and sexologist.

Since I was in primary school, I have been interested in understanding humans and how we connect. Once the concept of puberty was introduced to me, I was absolutely hooked and reading any information I could get my hands on to understand the changes I was going to go through. In one of those books, I came across the word sex, and ever since then, I have wanted to know the ins and outs of the world of sexuality.

Sexuality is an expansive field, and the name Desire Pathways represents the reality that your way of experiencing pleasure and connection does not have to look like anyone else's. This work is not about forcing you into a single destination. It is about exploring the specific pathways that feel natural to you or your relationship's sexual wellbeing. Whether I am providing individual support or couples coaching, my goal is to help you safely navigate the dynamics of your own desire. Together, we explore how to access pleasure and deepen intimacy, moving beyond what you think you should want and into what your body already knows.

Ready to find your own pathway? You can book a private foundation session below. This initial session is a dedicated space for us to connect, establish a sense of safety, and look at how we can work together to deepen your relationship with pleasure and intimacy.

Outside of the Practice

When I’m not working with individuals and couples, I focus on living by the same principles of presence, pleasure, and connection that I share with my clients. Everything I introduce in my sex coaching sessions is a practice I have personally explored and integrated into my life. You will usually find me:

  • By the water: Making the most of living near Lake Taupō, walking along the lake, and catching the sunset to recharge.

  • Expanding my knowledge: Constantly reading, learning, and researching new insights within the world of sexuality and human intimacy.

  • Unwinding at home: Lighting my favourite candles, putting on a Taylor Swift album, and curling up with a great romantasy novel.

  • With my support system: Spending slow, intentional time catching up and laughing with close friends and my family.
